Quoted from Minutes (page 7) of 2003 Annual General Meeting, May 31,2003, Regina, SK

"...At CSC we have been very fortunate over the years to publish one of the best construction related magazines in the industry. The majority of Construction Canada’s recent success is due to the determination and professionalism of our publisher Kenilworth Publishing Inc.  ...

I would like to thank Kenilworth for their time and effort ."

I had a few quiet moments early this morning to read a couple of issues of Construction Canada magazine. (One current - and one previous issue). The technical articles in this last issue are excellent, at least to me. All very technical. Nice to see the little note on 'Issy LeBlond' in the 'People' page July 02 issue. This is the stuff that will keep interest of the membership and separates a good magazine from a great one. Presentation is great as always. The Masonite advertisement really caught my eye as well this last issue. Makes me want to go home and change the front door to my house!

"I just received the latest edition through our inter-office mail. Recently, I requested a copy be sent to our Thunder Bay office. Jim is now receiving Construction Canada and everyone there appreciates reading it very much. Our Mississauga and Saskatoon offices want to be placed on the mailing list as well. Just shows what a terrific magazine Construction Canada has become!"

"The Board of Directors of Construction Specifications Canada met to review matters related to the programs and objectives of our association. As Past-President, I am obliged to report on publications, including our Construction Canada magazine. My report focused primarily on two aspects of our magazine, the quality and financial stability. To a member, the Board of Directors is delighted with the quality and content of Construction Canada. One Director even commented that Construction Canada is the most widely read publication in their architectural practice. As you and I have discussed in the past, we have been somewhat concerned about the ability of Kenilworth Publishing to succeed financially in the endeavor. This concern is more founded in past experiences with Construction Canada than in an apprehension with Kenilworth as a publisher. We were extremely pleased to receive your correspondence confirming the success of your participation in the publication of Construction Canada and we are excited about the possibilities of the future. On behalf of the Editorial Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors of Construction Specifications Canada please extend my sincere congratulations and appreciation to all members of the Kenilworth team for their contribution to the success of Construction Canada. Thank you for making us look good !"

"Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) undertook thorough and cautious research before contracting with Kenilworth for the redesign and repositioning of our magazine, Construction Canada. We could not be happier with our decision. We especially appreciated Kenilworth’s team approach on all matters related to the magazine. Major issues like the look, editorial repositioning, advertising information package, etc. were all developed with a joint CSC/ Kenilworth effort. After only two issues, we feel that Kenilworth has produced a far superior product than previous publishers. Under Kenilworth’s guidance, and by combining your professional expertise with our knowledge of the construction industry, we have been able to progress to a position that has produced a very positive member response."

"Your publication is an excellent source of knowledge in matters of maintaining, expanding and upgrading our physical plants, and goes a long way in helping us counter a lot of the sales hype and "disinformation" we are constantly presented with. In that respect, we find our choices become more informed and that has proven to pay us valuable dividends in the long run".

"The magazine is a great source of information and I read most articles with great interest. As a teacher of architectural technology at Fanshawe College, I not only use your magazine as a reference tool, but also strongly urge my students to subscribe or at least read the library copy. Keep up the good work".

"It is not very often that I have the time during the work day to read our publication but I must be living right. It arrived today and I have just given it a read. I am constantly amazed with the quality of the authors. This issue is especially great as an educational and reference tool. The articles are interesting, readable and very informative. Great use of pictures too. I just couldn’t wait for our telephone conference to sing the praises. The Don Thomas "The Final Draft" was an outstanding way of introducing the ‘New Speaker’. I looked for his email address to send a congratulations to him for a job very well done but it isn’t in the directory. If anyone has it or can forward my praise to him please do so. Ross is a hard act to follow – but Don has done himself proud. Phil – I know I don’t have to say this but – Nice Message. Buildcore Inc. should be pleased.

That's it for now - Phone is ringing; people at my door ( 3 deep) THAT’S MORE LIKE IT  !!! "
